Looking for some holiday activities to do with the family this winter? Here are eight things to check out around the North Suburbs.
1.Lauderdale-Falcon Heights Lions Club Christmas Tree Fundraiser
Support your community and decorate your home! The Lion’s Club of Lauderdale and Falcon Heights are selling Christmas trees at the Falcon Heights Community Park to raise money. Sales start the day after Thanksgiving and finish a week before Christmas.
2. New Brighton Winter Farmers Market (Dec 11)
The cold weather won’t stop the New Brighton Farmers Market! Stop in on the second Wednesday of every month from from 3-7 at the Community Center to shop for a variety of produce and handmade goods. Watch our feature on the market here!
3. Roseville New Years Eve on Ice (Dec 31)
Come on out to the OVAL’s skating rink in Roseville for the Midwest’s largest skating party for their New Years Eve Party. There will be a magic show, face painting, and of course open skating for all ages!
4. St. Anthony Santa on the Fire Truck (Dec 15, Dec 16, Dec 18)
Santa Claus is coming to St. Anthony! Bring the kids out the St. Anthony Fire Department to watch Santa ride down the streets of St. Anthony on top of one of the fire trucks on Dec 15, Dec 16, and Dec 18 at 5 PM.
5. Arden Hills Gingerbread House Making (Dec 7)
Learn how to make the perfect festive gingerbread house just in time for the holiday season! This event will be held on Dec. 7 from 10-11:30 AM at City Hall in Arden Hills.
6. Arden Hills Breakfast with Santa (Dec 14)
The early bird gets the… donut? On Dec 14 from 9:30-11:15 AM, Arden Hills is hosting Breakfast with Santa where for only 10 dollars, you can eat breakfast, make crafts, win holiday prizes, and get your picture taken with Santa!
7. Little Canada Cookies with Santa (Dec 7)
Get ready to have that plate of cookies out for Santa Christmas morning at Little Canada’s Cookies with Santa. This event will be held on Dec 7 from 1-3 PM. Come and enjoy some cookies, drink hot chocolate, get your face painted, and more at the City Center!
8. Arden Hills Family Skate & Sled Event (Jan 11)
Grab your skates and your sled for an afternoon of family fun at Cummings Park Warming House! Hot chocolate and a snack will be served.
