The iconic Mermaid Statue, which graced the entrance to the Mermaid Events Center since September 1966, is finally undergoing a much-needed restoration. After decades of standing watch over the center, she was unfortunately taken down in 2018. Now, the ‘Mermaid of Mounds View’ is embarking on a journey of rejuvenation at Mike’s Commercial Painting, where she will spend the coming months undergoing repairs and a fresh coat of paint. The city of Mounds View eagerly anticipates her return and plans to display her prominently once again in the near future.
