“We have these very vulnerable children, and when they are disregarded they feel their truth is no longer their truth.” Child abuse and neglect is a difficult conversation to have. The Hmong community comes together in this listening session to discuss the perceptions of child abuse, neglect and the department of child protection services. “Our community is still closed off about these issues, so how can we have this conversation, and bring more people into this conversation. If children are our future, lets build that foundation for them.”
