An AARP Walk Audit is a comprehensive evaluation of pedestrian conditions within a specific area. The assessment focuses on identifying safety hazards and accessibility barriers that may hinder pedestrian mobility.
Bob Bierschied, a longtime Roseville resident and former Parks and Recreation Director, is spearheading the walk audit initiative. By meticulously walking the city’s streets and sidewalks, Bob is diligently collecting data on sidewalk conditions, crosswalk visibility, traffic flow. His observations will be instrumental in pinpointing areas that require immediate attention and developing strategies to enhance pedestrian safety and comfort. Once the audit is complete it the information will be giving back to the city, county and state.
