The Roseville String Ensemble recently performed their latest show, “Old Music Made New” at Hamline University’s Sundin Music Hall. Assistant Conductor Chris Chelgren will lead the Roseville Strings in a spring concert program that includes music of (and inspired by) the Baroque era, as well as a modern version of a Renaissance dance suite and a baroque-rock favorite from this century.
The Roseville String Ensemble (RSE) is the Twin Cities’ only amateur string orchestra. RSE was formed in 1998 to bring together amateur string players to learn and perform ensemble music, foster the players’ personal growth and satisfaction, and contribute to the community through music.
